Despite the collaborative efforts of the private and public health sector stakeholders, and the ongoing vaccination rollout, our country is still navigating the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. The pressure placed on the healthcare system and healthcare professionals with each wave has been unprecedented and has undoubtedly had a significant impact on many aspects of your life, including your mental, physical and financial wellbeing.

For these reasons, Discovery Health, together with SAMA, UFFP and SAPPF will be presenting a new CPD-accredited series, called: “Surviving COVID-19, personally and professionally, and pivoting towards a resilient practice”, to help healthcare professionals take care of themselves, and build and maintain a resilient practice during these challenging times.

The series will take place at 19:00 on Thursday evening with the first one to be held tomorrow evening (12 August). The topic of the first webinar is: “How a pivot in my business saved my practice and the patients for whom we care”

This webinar will be led by Dr Peter Cruse who is a, course designer and programme director of Henley Business School’s Future Proof your Healthcare Practice. He is a former medical Rhodes Scholar at Oxford University, former Groote Schuur Hospital Chief Specialist, UCT Professor of Anatomical Pathology, and UCT GSB MBA Gold Medallist. He is an experienced hospital CEO, CMO, and commercial manager of multi-site hospitals, clinics and medical laboratories. Peter is also a commercial company doctor and turnaround specialist, capable of inspiring and leading rapid financial turnarounds of underperforming hospitals and healthcare assets.
