Med Brief Africa, still a unique freely available news-based mobile phone application specifically developed for South Africa’s medical professionals of all disciplines, was presented with an ASAIPA National Medical Award (NMA) in the “Enhancing the Medical Profession” category at the second annual NMA presentation function in Centurion on Friday evening.

Now in its third year, the application was specifically introduced to provide freshly sourced, written and edited clinical, medico-political, practice management and healthcare market news items posted throughout the day every day by a team of news media-trained journalists.

The award citation read: “The ease of access to the Med Brief Africa app, its content and practical features keeps all practitioners abreast with sector and related industry developments more than ever before and is truly enhancing the medical profession.”
